Good food, perfect at lunch because the staff moves fast. Chef does a great job and location is amazing. All look nice and clean. Salad heart of lettuce was fresh and well blended, little too much vinegar. Roasted cod was fresh but the bed of carrots and potatoes was not 100% amalgamated. Well dish was overall nice, ingredients were fresh. Nice side of Brussels sprouts. Nice twist of garlic there. Crème brûlée nice. Little pricey for one person over 80$ with no alcohol an no tips. Good experience for lunch.
A food court in a market you are most likely going to find mediocre food. This is not the case. Chef Jean Georges put the work into this place to make it incredible. T.Brassiere is on a $$$ scale. The food was incredible, plates were compacted with the right portion sizes, and served well with a bit of finesse. Service was remarkable! The chicken is a must try!!! Juicy, flavorful, perfect baked golden color. I would also recommend the steak. Everything on the menu ordered was well put together and excellent.
South St gem. Among restaurants, pricier side. Yet, good food.
Cast iron super-heated escargot kept warm. Accompanying bread excellent. So good dipped in butter. Snails were bit small.
Onion soup also very good.
Oyster, clam, shrimp combo fresh, fitting since market in the middle. Cocktail sauce nice.
Cheeseburger unique with bun texture pie. Good differentiation from casual version within the building Egg-something.
Creme brulee one of the best. Well done.
Service attentive. Atmosphere bit loud, but by design. So can't complain.
Did get thirsty afterwards.. guess tough to avoid when tasty, especially after chardonnay & cabernet franc.
Merci Jean George. I like Nougatine midtown, appreciate less formal setting, walk-in accommodative.
Amazing food and excellent service. Get the prawn entree, its amazing. Some might think its overseasoned but I really liked the hit of salt, pepper and special spiced butter and the beans that go along with it are delicious. The escargot lacked seasoning for me so I added salt to it and then really enjoyed that appetizer. My wife liked the chilled artichoke and the skate entree. Overall would definitely come back and I would recommend coming mid day on a weekday when its less busy , as on the weekends it tends to be impossible to get seated here.
This is a very nice space within a beautifully designed building. Very tasty offerings here. We had the Cod and Skate and the girls had the roasted chicken. All very tasty. They have very well made fresh cut fries perfectly seasoned. I would recommend this place for a nice sit down meal with friends or family.
This is nice looking place inside the Tin Building on South Street with great views. Immaculately clean facilities. Our server Val was extremely friendly and welcoming. The food is ok. They charge for Bread and Butter 🧈. Small menu. Small portions. Tourists prices so bring your credit cards. The restrooms are up the escalator on the 2nd floor and are difficult to find. Give it a try and you decide.
Absolutely delicious food and really attentive service. As a Frenchman, this may be one of the best onion soups I've had outside of France. Their steak was delicious and peppercorn sauce was great. Overall the restaurant / whole building was pretty quiet on a Wednesday evening which surprised me. Maybe more of a lunch spot? Definitely worth a lunchtime visit.
My company hosted a dinner here. It is not very vegetarian friendly but great quality food and they were very accommodating! The dessert and appetizers I had were something quite unique and the atmosphere is very inviting as well! The location within a market is really cool!
